A picturesque cottage with a private enclosed garden and stunning views across the Tyne valley, Granary Cottage was originally a stable belonging to the neighbouring 18th century coaching inn The Duke of Wellington. Both the inn and the cottage have now been renovated to 5 star gold award standard, with the inn also being home to an AA Rosette award restaurant. 

With two bedrooms, both ensuite, the cottage sleeps four and comes with a fully equipped kitchen although all the bar and restaurant facilities of the inn are available when staying at the cottage. As well as its secluded garden the south facing cottage has 2 off road parking spaces at its disposal. 

Entering through the porch, fitted out with coat hooks, a boot stand and umbrella stand, guests are welcome to make use of complimentary umbrellas during their stay.

Downstairs there is a brand new kitchen and recently refurbished open fully furnished plan living dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils, glassware, crockery and cutlery. There is an electric cooker, microwave, induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge freezer. 

The dining area has seating for up to 6 people. A hospitality tray is provided with a selection of coffees and teas, water and locally produced soft drinks and biscuits. 

The living area has two comfortable sofas with a wall mounted smart TV, coffee tables etc. Amazon Echo speakers are in all rooms throughout the cottage and will provide voice interaction, music playback, audiobooks, and other real-time information. There is also a selection of books and board games for your entertainment. There is free high speed WiFi throughout.

The bedrooms both have an ensuite bathroom, double wardrobe, dressing table and wall mounted flat screen smart tv as standard. We also provide hairdryers and The White Company toiletries for that extra touch of luxury. 

One bedroom leads from the living room/kitchen and has 2 large size single beds which can be linked to produce a super-king sized bed if required. Upstairs the spacious master bedroom is home to a super king sized bed that can be made into two large singles if required. A large full length window provides spectacular views looking out to the fields and beyond over the Tyne Valley. Please let us know in advance if you need the bedrooms configured as large singles or super king size.
